The Genuine Secrets in Freemasonry F. de P. CASTELLS
This is the last, and perhaps the most interesting, of a series of books written by this well known masonic scholar. The book has proved popular with freemasons for many years for in it there is an outspoken vindication of the traditional view held by thoughtful masons of two centuries ago.
The source of each item of masonic symbolism is examined in a separate chapter and shown to have been derived from ‘freemasonry’ in the middle ages, and ultimately from the mysterious brotherhood known as the Kabbalists, a brotherhood referred to in masonic ritual as ‘our Ancient Brethren’ and ‘our Holy Ancestors’.
This book might be described as a manual of the archaeology of speculative science in freemasonry.
